A Little Slice of My Life…
The name of my business was suggested to me by a friend. I loved it immediately. I researched it and found out that “little slice of life” is a dead metaphor. That sold me on it! Little did I know that sitting in my living room with my friends, my choosing A Little Slice of Life for my business would be absolutely perfect…
I played three games as a child; Mommy, Waitress, and Teacher. Throughout all the games I played, I documented my life with photography. I didn’t think about it, it came very naturally to me. I don’t have a lot of childhood memories but I am able to recall images from my childhood in the form of pictures. I don’t know if some of my memories are of the actual event or of the picture itself. I suppose it doesn’t matter in the end. I do treasure those images as they seem to hold the key to the woman I was to become.
…Today, I am the mother of two wonderful girls and in addition to documenting their lives, I am honored to document the lives of my photography clients. I hold my GA teaching certificate with pride and use my expertise as an educator to coach parents into happier lives. While teaching in the public school system, I fell in love with all things Apple and now I have the pleasure of designing invitations, programs and the like for my clients. In my spare (very spare) time, I enjoy writing and, once this perfectionist feels ready, I add entries to my blog.
A Little Slice of Life seems to be an apt description of the life I have today. One slice for motherhood, another for photography, one for parent coaching, designing, writing, etc.
So, I ask you, what slice of your life can I help you with today?
